WEEKEND WRAP UP

Friday Sept 16.

The Braves kicked off the 2022, 2023 season on Friday night hosting the Paris Mounties.  Gladding was the first Brave to work through the opening night jitters scoring at the 14 min mark of the 1st giving the home team a 1-0 lead in the 1st period.  Fanjoy made it 2-0, 41 seconds into the 2nd.  The Braves Thibodeau and Seguin both added to the Braves offense in the 2nd giving them a commanding 4-0 lead at the end of 2.  The 3rd was offensively quiet as the Braves successfully defended the 4-0 lead giving them the first win and Kernichan his first shutout of the of the season.

Sunday Sept 18.

The Braves travelled to Hespeler to take on the Shamrocks on Sunday.  Hespeler jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 5 min mark of the 1st and would finish the period with the lead. The Braves Fanjoy would draw the Braves even scoring with just a few seconds left in the 2nd.  Cant gave the Braves a 2-1 lead at the 9 min mark of the 3rd.  Hopper shut the door from there helping the Braves to win number 2 of the opening weekend.
