Friday Sept 23 – The Braves travelled to New Hamburg to take on the Firebirds. The Firebirds stuck early scoring just 2 min into the 1st and again at the 5 min mark to take a 2-0 lead by the end of 1. The second had a similar format with the Firebirds scoring again at the 5 min mark of the 2nd giving them a 3-0 lead heading into the 3rd. Tavistock’s Jameson Ritz-Teixeira would finally find the back net for the Braves at the 8 min mark of the 3rd but that would be as close the Braves would get on this night as New Hamburg added another late in the 3rd to take the 4-1 win.
Saturday Sept 24 – The Braves were at home on Saturday taking on the Norwich Merchants. The Braves got out to a much better start on Saturday night as both McKay and Gladding scored in the 1st giving the Braves a 2-0 at the end of 1. The Brave’s Fanjoy scored at the 13 min mark of the 2nd giving the Braves a 3-0 lead going into the 3rd. Norwich managed to sneak one by Kernichan early in the 3rd cutting the lead to 2 but a short time later the Brave’s Rahn would score returning the lead to 3. Norwich would again find the back of the net cutting lead to 4-2. The Brave’s Kernichan shut the door from there picking up the hard-fought 4-2 win.
