Weekend Recap

Braves take 2 of 4 points this weekend as we welcomed the Firebirds to Tavi, and a trip down 59 to take on the Merchants.

Friday evening presented a tough battle as the Birds came to town. James Hopper and Graeme Noye got the start for their respective clubs. It was Birds early, when Anthony Pede (2) would break through and beat Hopper. The Braves would put 10 shots towards Noye in the first frame however, could not find the back of the net. In the 2nd, it took abit of time, but Pede (3) would find the back of the net for his 2nd of the game. Owen Bruder (11) would then extend the lead with 2 minutes to play to send us to the final 20 minutes behind by 3. The Braves would battle, but to no avail as Keegan Metcalf (5) would add a 4th for the Firebirds and this would be the final. James Hopper would make 23 saves in the effort.
