Weekend Recap

Braves take 2 of 4 points this past weekend.

On Friday night, the Paris Titans were in town. The Braves would dominate the 1st period, however, they could not beat Josh Roman. In the 2nd frame, Carter Arseneau (4) got things started just 0:48 seconds in. Jacob Reid-Brant (7) and Trent Davies (4) would also add markers to send the Braves to the 3rd up by 3. Paris would start fighting back in the 3rd, when Aidan Switzer (2) would pull the Titans within 2. Stephen Peppas (9) would extend the lead once again just over 12 minutes in. Brett Cowen (2) would look to start the comeback for the Titans, but James Hopper would lock it down and the Braves would skate away with the 4-2 victory.

Saturday afternoon presented a matinee for Minor Hockey Day with the New Hamburg Firebirds coming to town.

The Braves came out hot scoring 3 goals in the first 4:31 seconds of the game. Trent Davies (5), Nick Hambly (1) and Ethan Sharpe (4) added markers. The Braves would on to this lead until the dying seconds of the period when Matt Domm (2) brought the Birds within 2 on the Powerplay. In the 2nd period, Owen Bruder (13) would bring the Firebirds within a goal. Justin McManus (3) would even things up just 1:15 into the period, and Tyler Reid (10) would score the winner with just over 7 minutes remaining.
