BRAVES WIN GAME 1 OF DIVISION FINALS

The goalies from both teams were tested early but proved to be up to the challenge on Wednesday night as neither team were able to find the back of the net in the first period.  New Hamburg would be the first to open the scoring at the 7 min mark of the second going up 1-0.  Gerth pulled the Braves even at the 16 min mark of the second with his 100th goal as a Brave.  Just 16 seconds later Schlotzhauer’s one timer would put the Braves ahead 2-1.  Kernichan shut the door on the Firebirds in the third closing out game 1 with a 2-1 win.
